Larry Marcus , MD, MS
Larry Marcus, MD, MS is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist
(ENT) located in Bristol, Connecticut. His practice included
Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is on the staff
of Bristol Hospital, where he has served as Chair of the Department
of Surgical Services and the Perioperative Oversight Committee.
He served as the Medical Director, Bristol Regional Health Alliance
from 1998-2003.
A graduate of the University of Nebraska School
of Medicine, he did his Residency in Otolaryngology/Head and
Neck Surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, New York,
NY from 1981-1984. He received his MS from the Executive Master's
Program in Management and Technology/Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute – Lally School of Management, Hartford, CT
in 2002.
Dr. Marcus has great interest in forensic work,
and his broad and deep experience in medicine and hospital administration
makes him an outstanding resource in medical malpractice cases
as well as those involving Standard of Care, Physician Credentialing
and Physician Organization issues.
Gail A. King, RN, LNHA, LHCRM, LNC
Gail A. King is a Registered Nurse, licensed nursing
home administrator and licensed health care risk manager with
thirty years of experience in the health care field.
Ms. King's experience has included service as a
court-appointed financial receiver for several nursing facilities,
crisis management relating to the survey process, quality of
care, and enforcement requirements. She has consulted with nursing
homes, hospitals and clinics regarding certification and/or licensure
program requirements, determination of need programs, and assisted
living developments.
She has served as a vice president for quality
assurance operations of a multi-facility long-term care organization
and during her five years as a Compliance Specialist with the
Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Ms. King was the liaison
between the federal government and the state agency in their
dealings with post-acute facilities and hospitals.
As a Legal Nurse Consultant Ms. King reviews and
analyzes clinical records for merit, creates comprehensive findings
regarding breaches in standards of care, prepares affidavits
and provides expert testimony at depositions and trials.
Frank Capozza, MBA, FACMPE
Frank Capozza has over 20 years in both hospital
and medical group practice and operations management.
He has provided operational management of billing
and collections departments in hospitals and medical groups,
and has broad and deep experience in inpatient and outpatient
coding; accounts receivable management and collections; and information
system selection, conversion and implementation management, as
well as day-to-day operational responsibility for these systems.
His experience includes a senior management position
at a large teaching hospital in Boston and a regional hospital
system in upper New York State, plus experience in several smaller
hospitals and physician group practices.
Mr. Capozza has experience in reviewing cases for
merit and in affidavit preparation, and has successfully provided
expert testimony.
Jamie Elkin , DC (Animator)
Dr. Elkin received his chiropractic training from
the National College of Chiropractic, Chicago, IL. Additionally,
he earned a BA in Philosophy, Cum Laude, from SUNY Buffalo, Buffalo,
NY and a BS in Human Biology from the National College of Chiropractic,
Chicago, IL.
He is Adjunct Associate Professor of Media and
Arts, Hampshire College, Amherst, MA.
As a practicing chiropractor, Dr. Elkins has a
unique understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human
body. As an animation teacher, he knows how to succinctly and
clearly convey complex information in an easy to understand visual
format. His award winning animations have been seen on PBS, at
science museums and in science textbooks.
